Research interests #

My research interests are structural geology and tectonics, fault kinematics, paleostress analysis, structural restorations and fault-related folding. I have conducted field and seismic-based geological research projects in the Central Asian orogenic belt, Verkhoyansk fold-and-thrust belt, Okhotsk-Chukotka volcanic belt, Barents and Laptev seas, West Siberian Basin and East Siberia. Following the completion of a PhD at the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2018, I began a three-year post-doctoral research project focused on developing an innovative fold hinges-faults intersections analysis, which provides data on fault kinematics and stress fields based on the 3D seismic interpretation without additional information from wells. Presently, I am completely involved in my startup project, which is focused on designing Deform, the desktop application to build balanced cross-sections and 2D structural restorations.
